Most in-state address changes can be made in your online account or mobile app for a standalone Professional Liability (Errors and Omissions) or standalone General Liability policy.
To update your address through your mobile app:
1. Log in to your mobile app.
2. From the main menu, select "Account"
3. Select the three blue dots next to the “Mailing Address" or “Location” that needs to be edited.
4. Enter your new address and click "Next."
To update your address through your online account:
1. Log in to your NEXT account.
2. Go to the "Account" tab in the menu and select "My business."
3. Select the three blue dots next to the “Mailing Address" or "Location" you need to update.
4. Enter your new address and click "Next.""
If there is a change in price, you’ll be able to review the new price before finalizing the address change. Once the change is processed, you'll have access to your updated proof of insurance in your account.
If you are unable to change the address on your end, it may require assistance from our support team to change it for you. Please reach out to them for further assistance. Their email is support@nextinsurance.com or you can chat with them using the "chat with us" option on the website. Please note our business hours are Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM CST.
For an out-of-state address change, we'll need to cancel your current policy and get you signed up with a policy in your new state.
To cancel your policy:
1. Log in to your NEXT customer account.
2. Go to the "Coverage" tab in the menu and select "My Coverage"
3. Select three blue dots on the policy you’d like to cancel and select “Cancel Policy.”
4. Read over the statement, select a reason for cancellation and click “Cancel Coverage.”
To purchase an updated policy:
1. Select "Get Instant Quote" on NEXT to complete the short application under a new email address.
2. Purchase the policy of your choice.
Please note that you'll need to cancel and repurchase within the same day in order to avoid a gap in insurance coverage. Once you purchase, you'll be logged into your account where you can access your certificate of insurance and policy documents right away!
