We offer optional coverages like Terrorism Risk Insurance Act (TRIA), Cyber, and Umbrella (or Excess Liability) with some of our General Liability policies. Availability depends on your business type and state. Here’s how to add them—whether you’re starting a new quote, updating an existing quote, or making changes to your active policy:
When starting a new general liability quote, one of the last questions in the application will ask whether or not you would like to have Umbrella coverage. Based on your state, this coverage may appear as either “Umbrella Liability Coverage” or “Excess Liability Coverage”. You’ll be able to select your coverage during this step before checking out.
If you’re updating an existing quote you can easily add TRIA, Cyber, or Umbrella coverage before finalizing your purchase:
- Click “Customize” at the bottom of the package you want to purchase.
- Scroll to the “Additional Coverages” section.
- Use the toggle buttons to turn on the coverage you’d like to add.
- Click “Save & Check Out” to apply the changes.
Please note, if TRIA, Cyber, or Umbrella doesn't appear in the Additional Coverages section, it means it's not available for your business type or location at this time.
If you want to add or update coverage on your existing policy, follow these steps to manage your coverage through your account:
- Go to www.nextinsurance.com and log in using the email or phone number linked to your policy.
- In the menu, go to the “Coverage” tab and select “My Coverage”.
- Find your policy and click the three blue dots. Select “Policy Details.”
- Click the blue “Manage Coverage” button.
- Scroll down to “Additional Coverages.” Use the toggle switch to add the coverage you want.
- To update limits, click the dropdown next to “Per Occurrence Limit” and select your preferred option.
- Click “Check Price” to see updated pricing.
- Review the changes in the pop-up window and click “Apply Changes” to finalize.
Please note, if TRIA, Cyber, or Umbrella doesn't appear under Additional Coverages, it means that coverage isn’t available for your current policy based on your business or state.
Once applied, your coverage change will go into effect immediately. You’ll also have instant access to an updated certificate reflecting the new coverage and limits.
